I am not one for the easy way....
http://www.customstampsonline.com/product/54926/rs27—-rubber-stamp-size-27/ I’ve been looking into getting a custom stamp made so that I can print high quality images then stamp a post card design on the back. However the cost is around £40 for a stamp and it’s not the size I’m after. So Seeing as my uncle is a carpenter I’m going to ask him to make me the base and...

Monday 22nd April 2013 - Musings
I have yet to find a way to best describe myself, even to define what my work is. I am not specifically black and white, nor a chosen style. I find that I am in a grey area where I enjoy the chance to show my abilities are varied as well as professional and structured in choice, composition and definition when realising the potential of subject matter. As mentioned in The Photograph as...

I tell a lie I have done something similar once...
Serving as a general reminder that I have in fact done something similar to the Naya Rivera, when I photographed and edited the image of craig, it’s that age old Whitewash bleaching effect.  The way I do it is with black and white layers and the blending option which is a fairly quick and simple way of doing it all i need to pay attention to is the strength of the shadows and highlights,...

Self promotion Research
so I’ve been trying to figure out where to go with my promotional package and what to do. I think my ideas are slowly formulating. For one, I think I’m going to need to learn how to write my name and initials using calligraphy. In an attempt to make my writing stand out… but then also I’m considering maybe I just need to Write them in my style, stay true to myself that...

Generalised Questions
What would you say is the place for art within a hospital setting? What function should art have? Should art be more for the patients or hospital staff? Should it be aimed to towards both? What emotion would associate with a blank walled room? If any, what sort of artwork would you want to see in this setting. Paintings, photography, drawings, sculptures. What subjects do you feel would be...

Definition of Extrovert
Extrovert By Carol Bainbridge, About.com Guide See More About: extroverts extroverted children making friends Definition: Most people believe that an extrovert is a person who is friendly and outgoing. While that may be true, that is not the true meaning of extroversion. Basically, an extrovert is a person who is energized by being around other people. This is the opposite of an introvert...

A quick chat with Andi Sapey – 21 February 2013
“Andi states that some of the images are a little under saturated and that they could be little brighter also. He suggests using the lighting from the left side for the Good/Evil images. Calum mentions perhaps using a gold reflector and Andi thinks it is a good idea. Andi states that half of the face needs to be darker and that you could use a black board.” I found it interesting that Andi...

I don’t know why I’ve put this as my title but it’s there for now. I’ve realised lately that I need to become much more independent with my uni work. That I need to buy certain implements that will allow me to do a lot of my work from home.  Currently It’s difficult to always be able to use the uni to the best of my abilities. I think that is because I don’t...

Barcelona Trip
This was certainly an interesting Trip. I saw many interesting things whilst wandering and it was incredibly revitalizing to myself to go there. Free of all pressures for a week to think and walk and consider things.  I will be making a scrap book of the adventure and including it with my hand in of work as a supplementary piece of material for this Reflective Journal. Hopefully It will show my...

Mystery plans Extended
I’ve begun putting all of this into a special book, Mystery is probably not the best word for this, but rather personal plans. Things which I’m happy to share with tutors but wish to keep to myself currently. I think this is certainly the best way forward.  Hopefully my work that I’ve been doing will be shown as initiative considering the effort put into it all.

Mystery Plans
I am currently working on an idea, which I am going to discuss with my tutors, but will have to keep hidden for now, I think I’ll reserve some posts on here just incase though. I’m keeping it secret to improve the chances of it working out for me. Fingers crossed.

After browsing this I’m definitely enthralled by images within the “Work” (<— click this) Section. Often I wonder what kind of work my tutors create, as I feel if I was aware of...
